Mission and Purpose

The College Station Parks Foundation is working with our business partners and community to enhance the lives of our people living in College Station by improving park experiences through innovative programming, investing in our green spaces and creating a family environment for College Station.

  • Assisting the City of College Station, neighborhood groups, and civic organizations to improve park systems and recreational facilities through land acquisition and development of existing parks
  • Develop parklands and recreational facilities in cooperation with the City of College Station, and the community at large
  • Acquire land and other assets to be used to create and improve the public parks and recreational facilities within the City of College Station
  • Accept bequests and other donations to be used to further the purposes of the Corporation
  • Research the park and recreational needs of the College Station area and assist scholars and other interested persons in studying parks and recreational needs
  • Support the enhancement of recreational opportunities in the park systems of College Station
